Dr. Wilson Vieira Melo

Holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from UFRGS, a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from PUCRS, and intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) from The Linehan Institute Behavioral Tech. He is a postgraduate professor of Cognitive and Contextual Therapies, with an emphasis on DBT and Process-Based Therapy (PBT).

Former president of FBTC (Brazilian Federation of Cognitive Therapies), he directs postgraduate programs in DBT and PBT, practices as a psychotherapist, serves as a clinical supervisor, and has authored over 120 publications.

Dr. Stefan G. Hofmann

Psychologist; Professor at Philipps University of Marburg

A global reference in process-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, he earned his Ph.D. at Philipps University of Marburg, where he currently serves as a professor, and is the Editor-in-Chief of Psychological Bulletin. He served as a consultant for the development of the DSM-5, received the Humboldt Research Award and the Aaron T. Beck Award, and is among the most highly cited researchers in the world. His research translates neuroscience findings into clinical skills; he has authored over 20 books and 500 peer-reviewed articles.

Dr. André Luiz Moreno

Clinical Psychologist, Professor, and Supervisor in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

A clinical psychologist, professor, and supervisor focusing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and science communication in mental health. He holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and earned his Ph.D. in Mental Health from the Ribeirão Preto Medical School at the University of São Paulo (USP)—integrating clinical practice, supervision, and teaching, with an emphasis on professional training and advancing access to reliable information on anxiety and emotional disorders.

Dr. Breno de Freitas

Clinical Psychologist, Professor, and Trainer; Ph.D. Candidate in Psychology (UFRGS)

A clinical psychologist, professor, and trainer specializing in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies and mindfulness-based interventions. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from PUC-RS and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Psychology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, focusing on evidence-based strategies for managing emotional disorders and psychological regulation.

Dr. Curt Hemanny Menezes Santos

Clinical psychologist, researcher, and lecturer; mood disorders

Clinical psychologist, researcher, and lecturer holding a Master’s degree and a PhD from UFBA, where he is currently pursuing a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Medicine and Health. His practice and research focus on mood disorders, with an emphasis on treatment-resistant depression and bipolar disorder, as well as combined treatment models. He is trained in CBT, DBT, and Behavioral Activation, with extensive experience in hospital settings.

Dra. Débora C. Fava

Clinical psychologist and trainer; director of Instituto VilaELO

Clinical psychologist, professor, and trainer holding a Master’s degree in Human Cognition and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Unisinos, along with training from Palo Alto University. She is the director of Instituto VilaELO, focusing on Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy and child behavior management, and is board-certified by the Brazilian Federation of Cognitive Therapies.

A clinical psychologist, professor, and supervisor who holds a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the University of São Paulo (USP), including a visiting doctoral fellowship at Boston University under the mentorship of Stefan G. Hofmann. She completed postdoctoral research with international training in behavioral therapy and is certified in Process-Based Cognitive Therapy, integrating clinical practice, supervision, and evidence-based education.
